Marine Commander's Iraq Tour Ends With Optimism

Marine Maj. Gen. John Kelly has spent the last year commanding multinational forces in the western Iraqi province of Anbar. That area was once a hotbed of the insurgency; now it's the scene of intense campaigning in anticipation of Saturday's provincial elections. "It's crazy, the campaigning.
